North Carolina Parent Education Requirements
North Carolina's Administrative Office of the Courts runs a statewide parent education program for parents in custody or visitation actions (Session Law 1999-237, § 17.16). Each judicial district provides parent education according to its own local rules.
Depending on your district, the requirement may be met by a court-run session or a four-hour parent education class. Your Notice of Court Events or custody order tells you what your case needs. Custody mediation under N.C.G.S. § 50-13.1 is a separate step.
