Florida Parenting & Divorce Classes Court Approved

A Parenting Class such as Certevia's Parenting and Divorce Class is required by the State of Florida for divorcing parents when children are involved. Our 4-hour parenting in divorce course includes information on the following topics:

  • The emotional effects of divorce on parents;
  • Emotional and behavioral reactions to divorce in young children and adolescents;
  • Parenting issues related to the concerns and needs of children at different stages of development;
  • Stress indicators in young children and adolescents;
  • Conflict management;
  • Family stabilization through the development of a co-parenting relationship;
  • The financial responsibilities of raising children;
  • Domestic violence, spousal abuse, and child abuse and neglect; and
  • The availability of community services and resources.

When parents break up in the State of Florida, the state requires both parents to complete a course like our Parenting and Divorce Class.
