Nebraska Basic Level Parenting Education Class
Nebraska has two levels of parenting education. Certevia’s 4-hour online course is the basic level course: self-paced, in English or Spanish, on a phone, tablet, or computer.
What about the 2nd level class?
A Nebraska court may also order a second-level course when there is child abuse or neglect, domestic intimate partner abuse, or unresolved parental conflict. Self-paced online courses are not available for Level II, so that course is taken in person or virtually. Certevia’s course is the basic level course.
Who Needs to Take the Nebraska Parenting Class?
Parents in a divorce, custody, paternity, or other family-law case may be required to complete a Nebraska-approved Basic Level Parent Education Course under Neb. Rev. Stat. § 43-2928. The court can delay or waive the class for good cause, so check your court order. Each parent enrolls and completes the course separately.

How long does the course take?

Is this a Zoom or in-person class?
No. It is a self-paced online course. You complete it on a phone, tablet, or computer. There is no classroom and no live video session.
